Nothing. At SBA, all of our sports are included in the cost of tuition. There is no additional fee to play a sport.
Who coaches the teams?
Most of the teams are coached by volunteer parents. At the start of each season, the athletic director will ask for volunteers to coach a team. Most of the junior high teams are coached by hired staff members.
When does each sport start?
There are 3 sports seasons in the parochial league. Here is a list of sports and their respective seasons: Football - Fall Cheerleading - Winter Cross Country - Fall 5th-6th Girls Volleyball - Spring Basketball - Winter Soccer - Spring 7th-8th Girls Volleyball - Fall Golf - Spring
When are practices?
Each team will practice at different days and times. Once your child is assigned to a team, the coach will contact the parents about practice days and times. The coaches will need to pick days and times that work with their schedule.
What forms are needed?
There are a couple of forms needed before your child can play a sport. Every sports participant will need to have a physical form filled out and signed by a doctor. This physical is valid for the entire school year. A new one will need to be filled out at the start of each school year. Also, the parents will need to sign a permission slip stating that their child has permission to play a sport.
